After months of rigorous development and testing, we are introducing the HiX system—a cutting-edge, web-based platform designed to streamline the entire inspection and certification workflow.
What is HiX?
The HiX system is an innovative solution that allows HCA inspectors to carry out helideck inspections using an app on an iPad. This app-based approach modernises the inspection process and ensures that data is instantly uploaded into our secure, web-based system. This seamless integration of field data with our online platform brings a host of benefits to our clients, enhancing both the efficiency and transparency of the certification process.
How Does It Work?
- Inspection and Data Upload: HCA inspectors will conduct helideck inspections using the HiX app on an iPad, capturing all necessary data on-site. The data is then uploaded directly into our secure, web-based system.
- Customer Portal Access: Clients can access this system through the new HiX customer portal. Here, they will be able to view the inspection data in real time and manage the follow-up actions required to close out any findings.
- Action Management: Clients will be able to submit evidence of action completions directly to the HCA inspector via the HiX portal. This real-time interaction will speed up the process of closing out actions and moving toward final certification.
- Final Reporting: Once all actions have been resolved, HiX will automatically generate the final Helideck Inspection Report. This comprehensive report will include a detailed audit trail of all actions and responses, ensuring full transparency.
- Certification: The system will also produce the Helicopter Landing Area Certificate and the associated Information Plate, which clients can download directly from the portal.

Current Status and Launch Timeline
We began developing the HiX system in late 2023, and after extensive testing with select clients, we are thrilled to announce that we are on track to launch the full solution at the beginning of Q4 2024. As we approach the official launch, we are rolling out a social media teaser campaign to give our clients a sneak peek of what’s to come.
